Hi! I'm Catherine
25 years’ teaching • PGCE • AQA Specialist • Enhanced DBS
I’m a PGCE qualified English teacher with 25 years of experience, providing 1:1 online English tuition for students, aged 9 - 16, across the UK.
My Upper KS2, KS3 and GCSE English lessons are tailored to your child's learning needs and goals and I also support students preparing for Functional Skills (English), 11+ and 13+ Entrance exams.
In addition to helping your child strengthen their reading comprehension skills, write clear, well‑structured essays and develop their creative writing, I will also help them to refine the exam techniques that make a real difference under timed conditions. At the end of every session, your child will know exactly what to focus on next and feel supported and ready for success.
Over time, you’ll see steady progress, stronger literacy skills and growing confidence. In fact, most families notice their child’s confidence improves first... and the grades soon follow.
Alongside personalised 1:1 tuition, I’ve also created a range of digital KS3 and GCSE resources and revision guides which are designed to help students practise key skills and succeed in English, both at school and at home.
